<div>Soo basically, i&#8217;m 13, my dad died about 2 years ago and my life&#8217;s gone down hill, completely with things like, attendance at school, behavior in school, alcohol, now I don&#8217;t even go to school !!, Basically I was born in London (capital of England) for those of you who don&#8217;t kno and moved and when I was quite younger, and since I&#8217;ve moved I&#8217;ve wanted to go back and it&#8217;s gone to far like me and my sister (18) annoy each other to the limit, and my mum says she wouldn&#8217;t be able to move back. EVER. I was diagnosed with severe depression and it just gets worse all the time, I&#8217;ve seen my doctor and all that, but 12 weeks for an appointment with Mental Health !! So what would happen if I was to run away back to London and then give myself back into the police after the day (as I wouldn&#8217;t want to get attacked)<br />
Any help appreciated, Thanks !!</p>
<p>P.S. .. What would happen if my mum didn&#8217;t want me back ? Would social services come round and try and make things better or would I be put into a childrens home or foster care ? And what wud happen If I didn&#8217;t give the police my mums details ?</p>

while working.  However, having children in the work<br />
environment now is not always feasible.  Children have<br />
become more separated from their parents, and new parents<br />
often become isolated and separated from their community.</p>
<p>Having babies in the workplace encourages parents to provide<br />
responsive care for their little ones, making sure their<br />
individual needs are met.  This care provides babies with<br />
much needed close physical contact, social interaction, and<br />
helps create happier babies.</p>
<p>Parents and families can benefit from happier marriages,<br />
lower stress, easier breastfeeding and healthier babies and<br />
moms.  Mothers may have a lower risk of postpartum<br />
depression, and Fathers are often much more involved in the<br />
care of the baby.  This close contact also helps to<br />
encourage family bonding and attachment, can result in lower<br />
day care costs and can create healthier, more socialized<br />
babies.</p>
<p>So, with all of these wonderful reasons to encourage having<br />
your child by your side in the workplace, why wouldn&#8217;t you<br />
want to?</p>
<p>Luckily, many companies offer programs for their employees<br />
to bring their children to work, or to work from home for at<br />
least part of their work week.  But, what if your workplace<br />
doesn&#8217;t allow your baby to come to work with you?  How can<br />
you balance both family and career?</p>
<p>Many working parents find that having an outlet for their<br />
own stress helps to promote positive interaction time with<br />
their little ones once they arrive home.  Try finding<br />
something you enjoy doing, which at the same time helps to<br />
release any tension or stress built up from your work day.<br />
Often yoga, exercise, meditation or a massage can help to<br />
provide much needed relief and relaxation.  Being relaxed<br />
prior to interacting with your baby will contribute to more<br />
positive communication and loving time together.</p>
<p>Often parents and babies find that participating in<br />
activities together helps to encourage their family bond.<br />
Infant Massage is one of these very special activities that<br />
you can share together.   Close contact through soothing and<br />
loving touch can help to relax both you and baby.</p>
<p>Touch is your baby&#8217;s very first form of communication, so<br />
finding a way to communicate through a language they will<br />
understand can be extremely beneficial for both you and<br />
baby.  When getting ready for massage time, be sure to relax<br />
and find a few quiet moments to interact with your baby.<br />
Even just a few moments of focused, loving attention can<br />
make a significant difference in your time together.</p>
<p>If you can find the time, it is advisable to learn infant<br />
massage from a qualified instructor.  An infant massage<br />
instructor will be able to guide you through the use of many<br />
different types of massage strokes, you and your child may<br />
enjoy.  When massage is an exchange between you and baby, it<br />
is much more enjoyable.  Over time you will develop a unique<br />
communication and recognize your baby&#8217;s cues, making massage<br />
an art of communicating your love through your touch.</p>

<div><em><strong>Raven Miller</strong> asked: </em><br/><br/><br/><br/><br/>Raw milk straight from the cow or goat is chock full of the benefits of wonderfully healthy bacteria, vitamins, and enzymes that you simply will not get from store-bought milk.<br/><br/>Milk you find on your supermarket shelf is flawed for many reasons. One reason is the big commercial dairies do not feed their cows grass and hay which is what they are supposed to eat, but rather their cows exist in small feedlots being fed large amounts of grain which is actually not something a cow was meant to eat.<br/><br/>As a result, these cows must be fed antibiotics which in turn are going into your milk. Bleach is also often added to make sure your carton of milk is as white as can be. Scary, isn&#8217;t it?<br/><br/>But even if this were not the case, commercially available milk is pasteurized (heated) and homogenized (process that breaks down butterfat), and you can be sure that all those beneficial enzymes and healthy bacteria are long gone by the time it reaches the grocery shelf. What you have left is simply dead liquid which can possibly cause more harm than good due to the growth hormones and antibiotics (among other things) given to the unhealthy commercial-dairy cow.<br/><br/>Many people will argue that drinking milk straight from the cow is not healthy, and that pasteurization is necessary to kill off things like E coli. The fact is that milk collected hygienically from a healthy grass-fed cow on a small family-owned farm is very healthy, and the benefits far outweigh the risks. You&#8217;d be statistically much more likely to contract E coli from your local produce department than from that farmer&#8217;s cow.<br/><br/>The source of the majority of our commercial milk is the modern Holstein dairy cow which has been bred specifically for quantity in order to produce large amounts of milk far beyond what a cow was ever meant to produce. Since she is fed so much grain (remember this is unhealthy for a cow), she requires antibiotics to keep her healthy. Growth hormones also end up in that milk you&#8217;re pouring over your breakfast cereal every morning.<br/><br/>The most healthy and best-tasting raw milk will come from the &#8220;old&#8221; breeds of dairy cows such as the Jersey, Guernsey, Ayrshire, or Brown Swiss, or the older lines of Holstein which were not bred to produce obscene amounts of milk. The average butterfat of these old breeds of cows back at the turn of the century was 4%. Today&#8217;s butterfat normally comprises less than 3%. There is also the misleading notion that skim and low-fat milk is good for you. Full-fat milk is awesomely healthy as the butterfat contains the vitamins A and D which are needed for the absorption of calcium, and is also rich in the short- and medium-chain fatty acids that protect us against disease. You get no health benefit at all from drinking low-fat or no-fat milk, and you might as well just have a glass of water instead. That would actually be far more healthy.<br/><br/>Many are jumping on the raw milk bandwagon, and many more will climb on board in the coming years as people educate themselves about what is actually going into our food through the commercial processes.<br/><br/>If you have a small dairy farm near you, drop by and sample some real milk and see what you have been missing.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Nathan</div>

I&#8217;m going to show you here why that is a major false belief, and why whole eggs are MUCH better for you than egg whites.<br/><br/>I was on a vacation recently with some friends &#038; one of my friends was cooking breakfast for the entire group. I went over to see what he was cooking and saw he was preparing a large batch of eggs.<br/><br/>Unfortunately, to my shock and horror, I noticed that he was cracking the eggs open and screening the egg whites into a bowl and throwing the egg yolks out down the drain. I asked him why the heck he was throwing out the egg yolks, and his reply was something of the sort&#8230;<br/><br/>&#8220;because I thought the egg yolks were horrible for you&#8230; all of the nasty fat and cholesterol is in the yolks I thought&#8221;.<br/><br/>And I replied something like, &#8220;you mean that&#8217;s where all of the nutrition is!&#8221;<br/><br/>This is a perfect example of how confused the majority of society is about nutrition. In a world full of food marketing misinformation and deception, somehow most people now mistakenly think that the egg yolk is the worst part of the egg, when in fact, the yolk is actually the HEALTHIEST portion of the egg!<br/><br/>By throwing out the yolk and only eating the egg whites, you are basically throwing out the most nutrient dense, vitamin and mineral loaded, antioxidant-rich portion of the egg. The egg yolks contain so many trace minerals, B-vitamins, vitamin A, choline, folate, lutein, &#038; other powerful important nutrients&#8230; it is not even worth trying to list them all.<br/><br/>In fact, the egg whites are almost devoid of nutrition when compared to the egg yolk.<br/><br/>Even the protein in egg whites is not as powerful and bioavailable without the yolks to balance out the amino acid profile and make the protein more useful to your body. Not to even mention that the egg yolks from free range chickens are chock full of omega-3 fatty acids.<br/><br/>The egg yolks contain more than 90% of the phosphorus, calcium, zinc, iron, thiamin, B6, B12, folate, and panthothenic acid of the egg. In addition, the egg yolks contain the entire amount of the fat soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K in the egg, as well as ALL of the essential fatty acids (EFAs).<br/><br/>And now the typical objection I get all the time when I say that the yolks are the most nutritious part of the egg&#8230;<br/><br/>&#8220;But Mike&#8230; I heard that whole eggs will skyrocket my cholesterol through the roof, and they are high in fat&#8221;<br/><br/>No, this is FALSE thinking!<br/><br/>First of all, when you eat a food that is high dietary cholesterol such as eggs, your body down-regulates it&#8217;s internal production of cholesterol to balance things out.<br/><br/>On the other hand, if you don&#8217;t eat enough cholesterol, your body simply produces more since cholesterol has many important functions in your body.<br/><br/>And here is where it gets even more interesting&#8230;<br/><br/>There are indications in scientific studies that eating whole eggs actually raises your good HDL cholesterol to a higher degree than LDL cholesterol, thereby improving your overall cholesterol ratio and blood chemistry.<br/><br/>And 3rd&#8230; high cholesterol is NOT a disease! Heart disease is a disease&#8230; but high cholesterol is NOT. Cholesterol is attacking the wrong problem&#8230; The real problem is the underlying internal inflammation that is signaling your body to deposit cholesterol as a healing agent. Attacking the root cause of the internal inflammation (smoking, stress, poor diet of refined sugars, trans fats, etc) is the real solution to heart disease&#8230; not trying to lower cholesterol.<br/><br/>And the fat argument is simply ridiculous&#8230; despite the popular erroneous belief, the fats in free range eggs are good for you and will actually help make you leaner via appetite control and hormonal balance.<br/><br/>So I hope we&#8217;ve established that whole eggs are not some evil food that will wreck your body&#8230; instead whole eggs are FAR superior to egg whites. Egg whites are basically just a processed food since you&#8217;ve messed up what nature intended.<br/><br/>Also, your normal super-market eggs from mass factory farms just do not compare nutritionally with organic free range eggs from healthy chickens that are allowed to roam freely and eat a more natural diet.<br/><br/>I recently compared eggs I bought at the grocery store with a batch of eggs I got at a farm stand where the chickens were free roaming and healthy.<br/><br/>Most people do not realize that there i s a major difference because they have never bought real eggs from healthy chickens&#8230; The eggs from the grocery store had thin weak shells and pale yellow yolks.<br/><br/>On the other hand, the eggs from the healthier free range chickens from the local farm had deep orange colored yolks and strong thick shells indicating much higher nutrition levels and carotenoids, and just a healthier egg in general.<br/><br/>So the next time a well-meaning but misinformed health or fitness professional tells you that egg whites are superior, you can quietly ignore their advice knowing that you understand the REAL deal about the nutritional supremacy of egg yolks.<br/><br/>One more interesting tidbit about eggs&#8230;<br/><br/>I read a study recently that compared groups of people that ate egg breakfasts versus groups of people that ate bagel or cereal based breakfasts. The results of the study showed that the egg eaters lost or maintained a healthier bodyweight, while the cereal/bagel eaters gained weight and had more body fat.<br/><br/>It was hypothesized that the egg eaters actually ate less calories during the remainder of the day because their appetite was more satisfied (from the healthy fats and quality protein) compared to the cereal &#038; bagel eaters who would have been more prone to wild blood sugar swings and more frequent food cravings.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Sergio</div>

Our kids identify themselves with these models that they watch on the TV and try to ape them.<br/><br/>If the model proclaims that he or she is eating a particular brand of food and that that particular brand of food is healthy, the kids will immediately start taking that food without bothering to study if those foods are suitable for their health or not. Do not blame the kids for they are too young to identify between what is good and bad. If they had that level of maturity, they would have never consumed the latest brand of fast food. It is your duty as caring parents to see what your kids consume and try to feed them foods that are healthy for them.<br/><br/>Apart from health issues, there are some psychological factors that are associated with obesity. You kid will suffer from psychological effects when he or she is bullied at school and being called names because of their obesity. They will form the fear of being disliked and eventually will avoid attending school. There is one more thing that you should not forget. Just providing your kids with healthy food is not sufficient. You need to ensure that they follow this up with regular exercise. These exercises can be in the form of physical activities like swimming, jumping, running, climbing up trees etc.<br/><br/>Also, these physical activities will help burn up the extra calories present in your kid thereby not permitting it to turn over into fat. You need to keep an especially when your kids are 3-4 years old. It is during this age that they form good or bad habits. If you imbibe the habits of eating good food and doing exercise during this period, then they shall get habituated to the same and retain it for the rest of their lives. While parents usually **** to see kids filling their stomachs with such junk foods mainly because these diets are glaringly deficient in several vital minerals and vitamins. Consequently it is the desire of parents for a dermatologist to declare such sugary and oily foods to be the main culprit. Beside junk foods there are some acne sufferers who found that spicy foods or beef are the ones that worsen their pimples. In contrast to above you may come across few researchers that claim milk to be the main cause in some people. Eggs are another infamous food for acne. Similarly there are many other believes regarding the link of food and acne. Above all there are different effects of same food on different people.<br/><br/>Quite opposite to the strong traditional belief that wrong diets cause or worsen acne, Scientists have not found any connection between specific foods and acne. The Journal of the American Medical Association recognized, &#8220;Diet plays no role in acne treatment in most patients…even large amounts of certain foods have not clinically exacerbated acne.&#8221; There has been found no direct influence of food to the cause of acne. Still we will recommend unhealthy junk and spicy foods to be avoided at least during the course of treatment because they will drop off the intake of healthy foods that promote rapid healing.<br/><br/>Acne Related Good Foods:<br/><br/>Even though certain foods do not cause acne or aggravate existing acne lesions, a good healthy diet does have a role in clearing skin. A healthy food promotes an overall good health, and as skin is the reflection of one’s wellbeing, a good health will reflect a fresh glowing complexion with clear skin. There are certain Vitamins and minerals that are very essential for a healthy skin. Its accuracy is dependent on both the equipment used and the area of the body used for the measurement. Several factors can affect the accuracy, among them recent exercise, how wrapped up (or ‘bundled’) a young child has been and even the environmental temperature.<br/><br/>Rectal temperature is the most accurate of the common methods, but I do not recommend untrained people use this method with children. It can also be inaccurate since rectal temperature responds very slowly to quick changes in core body temperature. For these reasons I shall not dwell on this method. Children also frequently object to it.<br/><br/>The best option for children under three months old is probably an axillary reading. If you want one thermometer to do all jobs, I would go for an ordinary digital thermometer and restrict the measurements to armpit and oral.<br/><br/>An armpit (axillary) measurement is the easiest and most familiar method, but is the most inaccurate. The measuring area of the thermometer has to be directly over the axillary artery, and this is not easy to achieve with squirming children. If the child is older, oral measurement is simple and more accurate than the armpit.<br/><br/>The most accurate method is by use of a modern tympanic thermometer, which measures temperature in the ear canal. This is very close to core temperature and modern types are not affected by ear wax. They are more accurate than rectal measurements, but not recommended for children under three months. However, please bear in mind that a parent is not expected to make an accurate measurement: just sufficient to decide if a doctor should be called. As I state below any temperature of 38C (100.4F) or above warrants this.<br/><br/>Types Of Thermometer<br/><br/>Glass thermometers have been largely superseded by digital types, and are much safer to use with children and just as accurate. They are designed for specific uses such as tympanic, rectal and oral/axillary. Were I just starting up a family again, I would go the expense of a tympanic type, but my kids are now grown up and there is no need, so I use a standard digital thermometer for oral and armpit use.<br/><br/>There are plastic strip or dot thermometers available, which are stuck to the skin and change colour to indicate temperature. These are very inaccurate and useful only to indicate if a child’s temperature is higher than normal or not. They may indicate a fever, but not what the temperature actually is. They do the same job as the ‘hand on the forehead’.<br/><br/>You can also get thermometers shaped like baby’s pacifiers, or ‘dummies’. These are also inaccurate since they need to stay in the mouth for a certain period of time which, as most mothers know, is just about impossible!<br/><br/>Of all the types of thermometer on the market, the ear, or tympanic, type is the most accurate. However, most parents will find a standard digital thermometer to be financially more viable and able to meet most parents’ requirements. Once a doctor has been called, he will be able to make a much more accurate measurement. Your job is to be equipped to carry out the initial measurement which indicates to you whether or not you should call a doctor.<br/><br/>If your child’s temperature reaches 38C (100.4F) you should call a doctor. I personally would call a doctor rather than take the child to the surgery since there may be people there at special risk from whatever disease your child may have. Remember, a disease is often at its most infectious before the symptoms appear.<br/><br/>How To Use A Thermometer<br/><br/>Always read the manufacturer’s instructions. There may be calibration instructions which are required before the first (sometimes every) use, and operating instructions. Many emit a signal when the measurement is complete, and some allow you to store readings. Some require the previous measurement to be cleared before making another. There are also usually specific cleaning and sterilising instructions.<br/><br/>The instructions usually tell you when not to measure a child’s temperature, such as immediately after exercise, after a bath or consuming hot or cold food or drink.<br/><br/>Oral Readings: You are measuring the temperature of the blood in the lower surface of the tongue. Wait at least 15 minutes after eating and drinking then place the end of the thermometer under the tongue and ask the child to hold it steady with the tongue and lips, but not to bite. The measurement will be complete after 3 – 4 minutes.<br/><br/>Axillary Readings: Here you are measuring the blood temperature in the axillary artery. You can locate the position of this artery with your fingertips. It is best to remove the clothing first, then place the tip of the thermometer over the artery. Fold the child’s arm across the chest to hold the thermometer steady. Again, 3 – 4 minutes should be enough, though a digital thermometer will normally beep when measurement is complete.<br/><br/>Rectal readings (if necessary): lubricate the tip of the thermometer with a suitable lubricant. If the instructions do not recommend one, your pharmacist will help. Lie the child face down on a suitable surface (changing table, bed or your lap with a small child), place your hand firmly near the base of the spine to hold him still then gently insert the thermometer probe about an inch into the **** (there should be no resistance – if there is then stop. Do not try to force the thermometer). They have yet to experience the stresses and worries that adulthood brings on. But this was not the case for me. Being diagnosed with diabetes at the mere age of two, I have spent the last seventeen years of my life being plagued with questions and responsibilities that are completely foreign to the average child.<br/><br/>While most children were enjoying cupcakes, ice cream, and candy, I was forced to say no. While most kids were dreaming about their futures, I was wondering if I would still be around for mine, fearing that by my 30th birthday, the complications of diabetes, such as blindness, kidney failure, or heart disease may have already taken its toll on my body. While other children dreaded going to the doctor and receiving shots, I was taking up to ten injections per day. The only thing worse than having to suffer these pressures daily is being faced with the fact that there are very few people who truly understand what you are going through. While doctors are here to help, many of them unknowingly blame the patients for blood sugars that are out-of-control or for other illnesses brought on by the disease.<br/><br/>It is due to these reasons that I believe that not only would I be an ideal children’s endocrinologist, but that I somewhat owe it to myself and the children that are going through the same things that I went through. As a diabetic myself, I can assure these children that they are not alone in their struggle and most importantly that there is no reason that a disease such as this should stop them from becoming all that they have the potential to be. Unlike most doctors, I will be able to do more than just prescribe a new medication. I will have the ability to truly listen and understand their fears and frustrations as well as assuring them that they have the power to not become a victim of the disease. A career in endocrinology is not only my dream job, but it is also the dream of all diabetics and potential diabetics to be able to put their healthcare into the hands of a doctor such as the one I plan to become.<br/><br/><br/><br/>Chaya</div>
